Description
In advance of an extension of limestone extraction, CLAU was commissioned by English Heritage to excavate the site of a slag concentration at Creeton Quarry over a three day period in early June 1994. 400kg of iron slag along with fired clay, charcoal, iron smelting ore and twenty two sherds of Roman pottery was found. {1}{2}{3}{4}[5}
