Description

25 trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land at Manthorpe, Grantham. Well preserved remains of extensive medieval ridge and furrow were recorded across the site, along with possible traces of a former First World War railway. Finds recovered during the evaluation were all unstratified, but included a sherd of medieval pottery and a general scatter of flint debitage. {1}{2}
