Description

A systematic fieldwalking survey was conducted to inform the proposed construction of a new water treatment works, to the south-west of Newton on Trent. A quantity of worked flints and debitage, together with several sherds of Iron Age, Roman and medieval pottery were found. The bulk of the recovered artefacts comprised post-medieval material, however, and no distinct find clusters were identified. {1}{2}
