Full Description
Three sherds of Iron Age pottery were recovered during a systematic fieldwalking survey, conducted in 2011, to inform the proposed construction of a new water treatment works, to the south-west of Newton on Trent. The sherds likely date to the later Iron Age, and were all in a dark grey fabric with sand temper, though were all heavily abraded. {1}{2}
