Description
Fourteen trial trenches were excavated by Pre-Construct Archaeological Services in September and October 2009 prior to the creation of a marina at Eastfield Rise Farm, Cherry Willingham. Late Bronze Age to early Iron Age pottery was found with vertically set timber posts suggestive of structures. A fragment of a broken late Bronze Age sword was also recovered. {1}{2}
