Abstract/Summary

Archive for the archaeological watching brief, conducted during groundworks associated with rebuilding of parts of an overhead electricity line running between Torksey and Newton-on-Trent. A possible Romano-British occupation deposit was recorded in the area to the south of Fenton, from which a small Roman coin was recovered. Redeposited finds of Roman and medieval pottery were also recovered from the vicinity.
