Description
An archaeological watching brief was conducted during groundworks associated with rebuilding of parts of an overhead electricity line running between Torksey and Newton-on-Trent. A possible Romano-British occupation deposit was recorded in the area to the south of Fenton, from which a small Roman coin was recovered. Redeposited finds of Roman and medieval pottery were also recovered from the vicinity. {1}{2}
