Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording conducted on the groundworks for four new houses to the north of Town Road, Quarrington. A cobbled path, limestone-lined drains, and a group of early post-Medieval limestone surfaces and wall footings were encountered, representing demolished stone buildings and a yard. A hearth or fire pit of possible Saxo-Norman date was also revealed, along with a small group of undated ditches and pits. Three flint flakes of Neolithic date were recovered from later contexts.
