Abstract/Summary

Report on a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording and an archaeological excavation conducted on land adjacent to Narrow Lane, Belchford, to inform the proposed construction of a residential development. Medieval features including the rubble foundation of two walls, as well as pits and ditches, were encountered during the strip, map and record. Saxo-Norman and early post-Medieval features were also recorded. No archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered during the monitoring.
