Author/Originator
Date/Year 2024

Abstract/Summary

Archive for a historic building survey conducted on outbuildings at Station Farm, Station Road, Langworth, prior to their conversion to three new dwellings. The outbuildings were laid out in an E-shape plan, with two central crewyards open to the southeast, in a style typical of the 19th century 'High Farming' movement. All of the buildings were constructed of brick of various colours and in a range of brick bonds, under pitched gabled pantile roofs. An earlier free-standing threshing barn was incorporated into the North Range. Stables, cart sheds and cattle sheds made up the other three ranges.
