Full Description
A 19th century complex of agricultural outbuildings at Station Farm, Barlings. The complex is E-shape in plan and comprises four ranges of brick buildings with pantile roofs. The 1st Edition 25 Inch Ordnance Survey maps shows the complex in a C-shape plan, with the central range having been added at some point before 1906. Incorporated into the North Range is a (likely earlier free-standing) two storey threshing barn, though the large southern opening of the barn has since been blocked with brick. Parts of the West Range also appear to be earlier than the rest of the buildings, and may have originally been a free-standing cattle shed. The West Range and Central Range have both been converted to house stables. The remaining buildings house cart sheds, further animal stalls and stores. {1}{2}
