Abstract/Summary
Archive for a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording comprising two trial trenches excavated on land at 12 Ermine Street, Ancaster, to inform the proposed demolition of a doctor's surgery and replacement with a residential property. A redeposited layer containing Roman material including pottery, tesserae, wall plaster and tile was encountered in both trenches. No other archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered.
