Report on a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising forty trial trenches excavated on land off Middle Street, Burton by Lincoln, to inform the proposed construction of a solar farm. The trenching confirmed the presence of two rectilinear and sub-rectangular enclosures identified on prior geophysical survey (see ELI12226). A number of undated probable field boundaries and a single Medieval or post-Medieval furrow were also encountered.
