Archive for a programme of trial trenching comprising seven trial trenches excavated to inform the proposed construction of a new residential development on land at Orby Road, Burgh le Marsh. An east-west aligned ditch of Roman date and a circular medieval pit were identified, and a neolithic flint scraper was recovered from an alluvial silt layer.
