Abstract/Summary

Report on a historic building survey to inform the proposed conversion of agricultural outbuildings at Holme Farm, West Rasen for domestic use. The surveyed buildings comprised: a two storey cartshed with a granary above; a two storey triple barn, formerly the north range of a crewyard complex; two L-shaped buildings forming the east, south, and west ranges of the complex comprising cattle accommodation, pigsties and stables; a semi-detached pair of two storey farm workers' cottages; and a later detached range of a cartshed, boilhouse, henhouse, and privies and coal stores for the farm workers' cottages. The complex is built in brick, with pantile roofs where those survive. The complex dates to the 19th century, with some later additions and alterations.
