Description

Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording conducted during the construction of two new residential dwellings on land at Gig Cottage, Gainsborough Road, Middle Rasen in January and February 2022. A narrow linear feature was cut into the underlying natural horizon. This feature may be a medieval timber beam slot. A pit was also identified which was also cut into the underlying natural horizon. The fill contained no fills and is undated. No further archaeological features were identified.
