A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during the construction of two new residential dwellings on land at Gig Cottage, Gainsborough Road, Middle Rasen in January and February 2022. A narrow linear feature was cut into the underlying natural horizon. This feature may be a medieval timber beam slot. A pit was also identified which was also cut into the underlying natural horizon. The fill contained no fills and is undated. No further archaeological features were identified. {1}{2}
