Archive for the excavation of ten trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land at Langton Hill, Horncastle. Irregular lines of orange-yellow sand seen during the evaluation may have represented traces of ridge and furrow which were identified during an earlier geophysical survey. Modern land drains were observed across the site. No further archaeological features or finds were identified.
