Five trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development at the Sidings, Horncastle. A ditch oriented ENE-WSW was recorded, containing a single sherd of medieval pottery. A pit or ditch terminus was also recorded which contained a charcoal rich fill, pottery sherds and animal bone fragments. No further archaeological features or finds were identified. {1}{2}
