Full Description

A possible pit or ditch terminus and probable ditch were recorded during an archaeological evaluation by trial trenching on land at the Sidings, Horncastle. Pottery from the fills of both these features were identified as possibly Saxo-Norman or early medieval in date. An environmental sample of one of the ditch fills suggested early medieval activity. {1}{2}
