Abstract/Summary

Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during groundworks for the construction of a new extension to the rear of Vine House, now the Vine Street Surgery, Grantham. The groundworks exposed a series of post-medieval and modern made ground deposits and pits, but did not extend into the natural geological layers. A range of redeposited medieval to modern pottery, ceramic building material, clay tobacco pipes and animal bone fragments were recovered.
