Title Land off Tattershall Road, Woodhall Spa
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2016

Abstract/Summary

Archive for the excavation of seven trial trenches, dug to inform proposed residential development on land off Tattershall Road, Woodhall Spa. The remains of several ditches and pits were recorded across the site, some of which could be dated from pottery finds to the post-medieval period. Also recorded were the remains of a length of post-medieval stone wall foundations at the western end of the site. None of these features were identified by a prior geophysical survey conducted of the site, indicating that ground conditions in this area were not conducive to that type of investigation (see ELI12771).
