Report on the excavation of eight trial trenches, dug to inform proposed residential development on land off Wainfleet Road, Boston. The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of geophysical anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI12632), and confirmed the presence of a number of ditch or gully features, one of which was not identified during the geophysical survey. Finds of medieval pottery and tile were recovered from two of the ditches, but no dateable material was recovered from the central complex of features.
