Full Description
Several linear magnetic anomalies were recorded in this location in April 2014, during magnetometer survey of land off Wainfleet Road, Fishtoft. The anomalies were thought to represent the remains of a former field boundary or drainage ditches of uncertain date. {1}{2}
Subsequent trial trenching, conducted in September 2014, confirmed the presence of one of the features, and recorded a second linear feature on a parallel east to west alignment that was not previously identified. The features were relatively narrow, and were thought to represent former field boundary ditches, although no dateable material was recovered from either. {3}{4}
