Title Land North of High Leas Farm, South Reston
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2015

Abstract/Summary

Archive for the excavation of eight trial trenches, dug to inform the proposed construction of a solar farm on land to the north of High Leas Farm, South Reston. The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of geophysical anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI12312). Traces of medieval ridge and furrow were confirmed across the site, but all of the other recorded magnetic anomalies were proven to be of natural geological origin. The trenching also recorded the remains of two previously unrecorded ditches of probable post-medieval date.
