Full Description
During trial trenching on land off Old Main Road, Scamblesby in 2009, a ditch was found in Trench Two which contained a 15th to 17th century brick fragment and 18th to 19th century pottery. {1}{2}
A further series of post-Medieval pits, gullies, a ditch and a posthole were encountered during open area excavations in 2015. A large fragment of 16th-18th century ceramic building material was recovered from the fill of the ditch. {3}{4}
