PRN 48227
A single fragment of Roman coarse ware pottery was found to the west of Lodge Farm, Skendleby, during the monitoring of works relating to the installation of a watermain. The sherd occurred residually in an early Anglo-Saxon pit or grubenhaus (PRN 48225) and displayed signs of having been re-worked, possibly in the Anglo-Saxon period, for use as the lid of a pot or jar. {1}{2}
