A school which is now a village hall and club. It was built in 1897 and underwent additions in 1919. It was made of coursed rockfaced limestone with yellow brick dressings and has a slate roof with sprocketed eaves and raised stone coped gables. There is a 1914 to 1918 war memorial in Portland stone which is flanked by single four light glazing bar casements with brick dressings to the eaves. In the central gable is a rectangular stone plaque bearing the Monson arms and the date 1897. It was fixed on the front façade of what was the village elementary school. The memorial is dedicated to those who served in the First World War and the Second World War. {3}
