Full Description

An ashlar monument to a horse, dating from 1891. The monument consists of a square base from which rises a square pedestal, which in turn supports a large ovoid urn decorated with leaves, paterae and lion heads. On the side of the column is the following inscription in an oval panel: 'Under this urn lies DASHAWAY, a favourite hunter aged 21 years 1891'.
