Full Description

Grade II listed Gothick ruin, cascade and footbridge, dating from the early 18th century, restored in the late 19th and 20th centuries. They are random rubble and natural rock, with fragments of 14th century stonework. At the east end, bordering the River Witham, are two low arches, and to their left, a restored sluice. To the right is a taller section of walling including an unglazed 14th century two-light window. To the west is a cascade, spanned at the downstream end by a segment arched stone footbridge with renewed rustic timber balustrades.
