Full Description

A pair of grade II listed marble statues, dating from the 18th century. They are life size figures on moulded square bases. A female figure is to west, with a posy and a male figure is to right with a spade. Pevsner tentatively attributes these figures to C. G. Cibber, who carved a nearby sundial (qv) for Sir John Brownlow in the late 17th century. Marsden and Barber describe them as Italian and 18th century.
