Full Description

Grade II listed nursery garden walls, dating from the early 18th century and altered in the early 19th century. The walls are stone and brick. The stonework is ashlar and coursed squared stone and the wall has ashlar dressings and slab coping. The wall is approximatey two and a half metres high and 250 metres long. The rounded corner at the junction with Main Street has a segment arched gateway with a keystone and double board doors, flanked by square piers with shallow pyramidal caps. The length is bordering Main Street as far as the churchyard wall and has a central gateway with 19th century wooden gates flanked by square piers with moulded caps and ball finials.
