Full Description

Early 18th century house, extended in 1811 and raised in the late 19th century. Built of red brick laid in Flemish bond, and features a pantile and slate roof with red brick gable stacks. Below the ground floor window a brick is inscribed and dated 1811. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1} A brief assessment of the house was included in the Design Access and Heritage Statement, produced in 2013, prior to the proposed conversion of the nearby outbuildings. This building is of a local red/orange clay brick, and would originally have had a steeply pitched thatch roof, as indicated by the change in brickwork on the northern gable. {2}
