Description

GOSBERTON CHESSPOOL LANE TF 23 SW (east side) 4/44 Chesspool House G.V. II House. Early C18, extended 1811 and raised late C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, pantile and slate roof, red brick gable stacks. The original cottage to the left is of 3 bays, with an added first floor, having half glazed door, flanked by single plain sashes, all with segmental brick heads. To first floor 2 similar glazing bar sashes. The added taller 2 storey bay of 1811 has plain sash to ground floor and glazing bar sash to first floor. Below the ground floor window a brick is inscribed and dated 1811. Contemporary fluted niches to the room within. Listing NGR: TF2102130303
