Full Description
Grade II listed house, now house and shop, dating from the late 18th century and altered in the 20th century. It is rendered brick and has a slate roof with two gable stacks. This building reputed to be that in which Dick Turpin, famous highwayman, lived. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}
A building appraisal was undertaken at 15 High Street, Long Sutton in July 2012. It was constructed in the very late 18th century or the turn of the 19th century. The present building may have replaced an earlier house on the site as there appears to be a house on the site on a 1706 map. After 1842 but by 1888 the shop front had been established. It was altered in the 20th century. {2}
