Full Description

An orangery and attached garden at Thorpe Tilney Hall. Built in about 1740 of red brick with ashlar dressings and a pantile hipped roof. The large flanking side-windows are glazing bar sashes with 24 panes each. The brick parapet is ashlar-coped with a central acorn finial and end ball finials. The rear wall is continued to the north and the south as a two metre high garden wall, toped with pantiles, it extends all the way round the present garden 110 metres long and 60 metres wide, with central gate-ways on the north, west and south sides.
