Full Description
Grade I listed gateway to Bishop's Palace, dating from about 1500 and built for Bishop William Smith, 1496 to 1514. It is ashlar with plain tile wall coping, a coved string course and crenellated parapet. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}
