LINCOLN SK9771NE MINSTER YARD 1941-1/9/243 (South side) 08/10/53 Outer east gateway to Bishop's Palace GV I Gateway to Bishop's Palace. c1500. Built for Bishop William Smith, 1496-1514. Ashlar with plain tile wall coping. Coved string course, crenellated parapet. Single storey. L-plan. East side has a four-centred archway with hoodmould.
