Full Description

PRN 48114 Mid 18th century mud and stud cottage, now faced with red brick and some weatherboarding. The roof is thatched, covered with pantiles. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} During a storm in 2007 the roof was blown off the house and it has subsequently deteriorated further, exposing construction details which were recorded prior to its reconstruction. It had a chimney at the east end, rather than a central chimney which is more usual in mud and stud cottages. There was evidence of numerous alterations, and a small lean-to extension had been added. {2}{3}
