Full Description
Historic parkland at Hamilton Villa is depicted on the 1st edition 6" and 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series maps. {1}{2}
Probable traces of the park were identified in July 2015, during magnetometry survey of land off Woodlands Lane. The survey recorded numerous magnetic anomalies, thought to represent areas of relatively recent fomer landscaping and tree planting. {3}{4}
Subsequent trial trenching, conducted in November 2015, confirmed that the magnetic anomalies previously recorded were all the result of relatively recent landscaping works within the parkland. {5}{6}
