Full Description

A park recorded on the first edition c.1880 and c.1905 Ordnance Survey maps as Syston Park, Syston. {1}{2} The Hall (at SK 9408 4063) was built in 1766-75 by John Thorold (later the 9th Baronet) during his father's lifetime. His father lived at Cranwell. The park had already been landscaped in the early 18th century by the 4th Baronet who also planted many trees. {3} The Hall was demolished in 1928.{4}
