Full Description
PRN 65204
The farmstead is split, the main part lying in the village centre next to the church, and a lesser complex of buildings in the fields; it was in the latter that most of the horses and some of the wagons were kept, to save taking them back to the village each night.{1}
Manor Farm belonged to the Ancaster Estate and was constructed in the early 1880's.{1}
The farm complex incorporates an earlier (17th century) barn (PRN 64506).{2}
Part of the southwestern range (the wagon shed and implement store) was demolished sometime after 1984. The wagon shed and implement store still apears on a map of this date.{3}
