Pound lock on the fen drains, constructed by John Rennie between 1802-1812, and altered in 1848 when the GNR Lincolnshire loop line was constructed. Built of ashlar stone, with some wood and iron. The lock has two gates, with battered and pecked gritstone ashlar side walls having wide curved gate rebates. Two sets of massive wood and iron lock gates, the southernmost being set higher and the top of the chamber with steps here. At the north end are the ashlar abutments, the sides with sunk panels, for the GNR railway bridge, removed after the closure of the line. The lock gives access to the navigable drains on East, West and Wildmore fens, with the western half being in Langriville parish (East Lindsey District), and the eastern half being in Fishtoft parish (Boston Borough).
