Full Description

PRN 23897 Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) along the proposed route of the A1073 relief road between Eye (near Peterborough) and Spalding. The evaluation identified three ditches and a single ditch terminal, all with steep sides and flat bases. One of the ditches contained mollusc shell. Although undated, it is possible that the ditches belong to a Romano-British site found immediately to the south (PRN 23101) {1} {2}
