Full Description

PRN 54838 The farmhouse was built in the 17th century with major 18th century addition and further alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick with stucco keystones, pantile roof with stone coped gables and small brick kneelers. T-shaped in plan, it is two storeys high with a garret. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} A watching brief undertaken in 2003 on the site revealed foundations for house that stood before the present property. {2}{3} Fonaby House, Caistor. 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. The farmhouse is the only surviving historic structure. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {4}
