Full Description

PRN 23827 Archaeological evaluation by trial trenching, undertaken on land at Holbeach Road, Spalding (14th to 23rd April 2003) identified deposits possibly representing the basal part of truncated saltern mounds that ran along the western edge of the site, parallel to the River Welland. Alternatively, the deposits may reflect the presence of a palaeo-channel. {1} {2}
