Full Description

Undated features were recorded during an excavation and watching brief. Ditches and gullies were aligned east to west and north to south. Pits, a posthole and two unidentified features were also recorded. Environmental sampling included burnt and unburnt bone and a charred seed. Some of these features may relate to the middle Iron Age enclose farmstead on this site - see PRN 60812. {1}{2} A number of possible undated kiln sites were identified in February 2000, during a fluxgate gradiometry survey, conducted prior to the excavation and watching brief. {3}
