Description

An archaeological excavation was carried out as part of a mitigation strategy on development by Powergen. Excavation was limited to twenty five 1m by 1m areas where the stanchion pits were to be placed, and two areas within the proposed 5m square telecommunications mast footprint and a 2m square pumping station footprint. A fifty percent sample of features identified as probably natural or clearly modern was excavated. {1}{2}
