Full Description

PRN 61773 All Saints church was built in the early 1860s to a design by G.G.Scott, to the south west of Nocton Hall. This church was a rebuild of a Georgian church built in 1775 after the demolition of the medieval church which was located nearer to the hall. It was built for the Countess of Ripon in memory of the first Earl. It is a typical estate church in its setting against a backcloth of wood and its ambitiousness and unvillagey character. It is built of Ancaster stone and is Early English in style. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
