PRN 60767
During trial trenching, a single ditch containing Roman or later pottery was uncovered. {1}{2}
During an evaluation for Sleaford Enterprise Park, a ditch was recorded containing four pieces of a single Roman pottery vessel. The environmental assessment suggests that the land at this time was open grassland with fluctuating degrees of wetness. The ditch probably represents a field boundary dividing the grassland for the grazing of animals rather than for human habitation.{3}{4}
During trial trenching centred on TF 0775 4705, three pieces of Roman tile were recovered.{5}{6}
